January 27, 2015--Pudde Of Mudd, Blurry

Artist:  Puddle of Mudd
Song:  Blurry
Album:  Come Clean

I've been in a rock mood today.  Ever since Jen and I made our way back from Dallas this past Saturday night I've had Puddle of Mudd stuck in my head.  I think we listened to "Control" at least three times.  Blaring down the highway at one in the morning.  Of course, that's the only right way to play Puddle of Mudd.  LOUD.

I didn't realize that these guys started way back in 1991!  It wasn't until 2001 when Fred Durst, the lead singer of Limp Bizkit, signed the band to his record label.  The original Puddle of Mudd was no more, but Wes Scantlin (lead singer) remained.  "Come Clean" was the album that made them huge.  Between "Control" and "Blurry" the guys were shot into stardom.  In 2002, "She Hates Me" was released and made it's way to number one on the music charts.  You should watch the video to that one.  It's great.

The guys have opened for acts such as Godsmack and Deftones, as well as being headliners themselves.  Lead singer, Wes, has been said to have an eerily similar voice to that of Kurt Cobain...I guess I can hear what they're saying...but I'm honestly more partial to Wes than to Kurt.

Gotta say, love me some Puddle of Mudd.  "Spin You Around" is also one of my favorite songs by them.

enjoy!
