January 13, 2015--Bart Crow, "Running With the Devil"

Artist:  Bart Crow
Song:  Running With The Devil
Album:  Heartworn Tragedy

Hats off to Mr. Bart Crow, ladies and gentlemen!  I'd like to thank him for his service to our country.  He served in the United States Army after he graduated high school   Using his down time to write music, he and his band later topped the Texas music charts on a number of occasions.  The album "Finally..." was released in 2005.  "Desperate Hearts" came out in 2008, "Heartworn Tragedy" in 2009, and his latest album, "Dandelion" was released in 2012.

My goodness, I love me some Bart Crow!  He's got a unique sound that is totally his own.  He puts on a killer show, too!  "Running With the Devil" has got to be one of my favorites, although after a recent divorce, I have to admit I've belted out "Wear My Ring" on many occasions.  There's only one way to listen to that song:  LOUD!  I love each of his albums.  With each one you can sense an evolution to his songwriting.  The ever improving Bart Crow is already a Master in my mind.

By the way, you should check out his video to "Lovin' You's A Crime" on YouTube.  It's hilarious.  The "Dandelion" album sports a remake of the song "If I Go, I'm Going", which was originally by Gregory Alan Iskavov.  I think it's fair to say that Bart and upcoming female artist Macy Maloy did the song justice all while making it their own.  This song is also the first duet that Bart has done.

He's had success with so much of his work with songs like, "Little Bit of Luck", "Cold Heart", "Better Day", and "Understand", I'm sure you can relate to why I'm excited for what else is to come from Bart Crow.

Bart Crow, himself.  Unfortunately, not a photo I took.  However, I do have one with him, I just haven't taken the time to find it.  I can guarantee that it's likely on one of my external hard-drives. I got to meet him in Justin, TX at the Mule Barn and it was a blast!  And, by the way, don't you just love his tattoos?!  I know I do.

The above is a photo of the lovely Macy Maloy. I snapped this just a couple of weeks ago at the Josh Abbott Band performance.  She sang a duet with Mr. Abbott (Oh, Tonight), and she was incredible!  I can't wait to see what else Miss Maloy surprises us with in the future.
